Svp & Chief Operating Officer

Smart Shop Retail Stores Ltd is currently seeking a Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer to join our team.

Please Note: We are currently anticipating a start date for this role on November 1, 2023

Overview of the role:

Reporting to the President & CEO, the SVP & COO will lead the day to day retail operations across Canada.

The SVP & COO will collaboratively partner with the President & CEO to define the corporations strategic direction and vision and develop strategies to better serve our customers while realizing business objectives.

As a Brand Ambassador, the SVP & COO will support the President & CEO in establishing corporate policies, best practices and procedures, process improvement initiatives, inventory management, pricing, merchandising and sales operations.

The SVP & COO will be accountable for providing inspired leadership to the employees, developing strong, collaborative relationships at all levels and will work closely with functional leaders to identify and implement process improvement opportunities, while actively participating in resulting change management processes. A strong and transparent relationship with the field & corporate leadership teams will ensure success in achieving these deliverables.

Further success in this role will be defined by the incumbents ability to deliver profitability and return on investment across the organization, develop and execute market facing strategic plans in line with market conditions and champion the formalization of a people and culture strategy.

What you bring to the team:

•Strong business acumen.

•Capable of growing the business and effectively leading the operations of the business to achieve operational and financial performance objectives.

•5-10 years experience in a similar role

•Bachelors Degree, preferably focused in Business
