Job Description
Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Chief Architect.


Responsibilities:


  • Participate in new product and platform architecture discussions with planning and engineering teams to identify competitive yet executable next-generation smartphone media architecture architectures
  • Drive continuous improvements of competitive smartphone media features, especially camera and display, based on industry trends, technology trends, competitive trends, and internal execution
  • Lead and participate in smartphone media architecture definition tasks - technology exploration, spec development, considering performance/quality/power/cost tradeoffs
  • Collaborate with various Huawei smartphone product line teams to ensure end-to-end software-hardware solutions
  • Incubate and prototype new SW/HW Co-designed technologies to demonstrate the viability of new smartphone camera/display/video/audio architectures to improve performance and power efficiency


Job requirements


What you’ll bring to the team:


  • Proficient in the industry and standard trends of smartphone media features, have a deep understanding of the tradeoff of specification and cost
  • Innovative thinking, strong interest in cutting-edge technology and good understanding ability.
  • Have good computer and systems architecture knowledge with a thorough understanding of system software (OS, Drivers, Firmware) and performance optimization for different engineer sensoria
  • Have general knowledge of the developer ecosystem for the smartphone media system
  • Bachelor of 10 years or more, Master of 8 years or more, Doctor of 5 years or more
  • Have enough knowledge of the media underlying hardware accelerator, such as ISP, DSP, GPU, display IC, video codec, etc.
  • Have SW/HW co-design and co-optimization experience, especially the power efficiency optimization on the smartphone platform
  • Have In-depth Experience with camera/display/video/audio architecture on smartphones or other terminal devices
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning and deploying new technologies
  • Experience in the application and design of smartphone media. Be familiar with the product architecture, key technologies, and technology evolution directions.
  • Have general knowledge of media quality assessment, such as camera/video IQ and display PQ evaluation
