Assistant Mechanic Jobs

We are looking for a reliableMechanic/Shop Assistant.

Qualifications required:

• Must have a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to get to our shop in Mississauga.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Must be able to take direction and be comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read manuals and follow written directions.
• Concrete pump experience would be an asset.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Able to work with limited supervision and complete tasks independently.
• The ability to weld and fabricate parts and equipment would be an asset.
• Preferably 5 years, a minimum of 3 years, of accredited and verified mechanical experience.

Duties include:

• Generate and maintain detailed spare parts lists for equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on all equipment, as required.

Terms:

• Benefits package available after 3 months.
• May be required to work overtime.
• Non-union starting wages are typically $25-$36 per hour and based on experience.
• Predominantly evening shift, but sometimes offset to day shift.
