Catering Warehouse Assistant Expectations

• Communicate with the service and sales departments on supply issues and coordinate substitutions
• Open availability Thursday - Sunday
• On occasion, deliver simple catering orders to a location, which sometimes requires minor event setup
• Confirm that returning items from events are clean and in good working order and return them to the warehouse
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse, ensuring that equipment is protected and stored properly
• Organize and stage supplies and equipment for catering events
• Load box trucks and vans with staged supplies, ensuring that the correct items are loaded and properly secured
• Be the go-to for miscellaneous needs such as picking up linens at the dry cleaners, filling up gas in trucks, picking up last minute supplies at the grocery store, or even making emergency supply runs to events

Catering Warehouse Assistant Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of catering terminology a plus
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Able to frequently bend, stoop and lift (up to 50lbs)
• Previous catering, event, or hospitality background a plus
• Warehouse or similar experience preferred
• Experience using hand trucks or pallet jacks

• Seasonal position--25-40/hrs a week until end of December; opportunity to come back in March as things pick up again
• $15-$17/hr, depending on experience
