Job Description

Job Summary


The Assistant Food and Beverage Outlets Manager is responsible for the supervision of day-to-day Club food and beverage services while ensuring the experience is at a consistently high level.


Responsibilties

  • Set a tone of consummate professionalism for the department, ensuring the team is knowledgeable and consistent.
  • Manage the daily operations of the various outlets, including staffing, ordering, inventory and scheduling.
  • Have financial responsibilities such as payroll submission, cash-out procedures and annual budgeting.
  • Monitor new product launches, provide feedback on menus, and recommend changes as appropriate.
  • Please respond quickly and quickly to member questions, requests and complaints.
  • In collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager, the Assistant Food and Beverage manager will ensure that the standards for the Food and Beverage department are being upheld.
  • Develop promotions that will drive sales for the various food and beverage outlets.
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new employees as required.
  • Take a leadership role in supporting activities driving staff and member engagement and recognition.
  • Ensure duties of all front-of-house Food and Beverage staff, including thorough mise-en-place and daily opening and closing duties, are being completed on a daily basis.
  • Involved with and responsible for overseeing numerous events including assisting with administrative work relating to banquets and catering.
  • Be highly visible during meal periods, meeting and greeting members and guests in the outlets and constantly engaging in quality checks to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure areas are maintained, with regular cleaning schedules and inspections established.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively with team members of different departments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage billing and invoicing
  • Proficient in Point of Sales software such as Jonas Software and Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in planning and executing events, including weddings and corporate events, is an asset
  • Have the ability to stay organized and demonstrate clear and concise communication
  • Must hold work authorization for Canada at the time of applying
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends, service, and presentation standards
  • Experience in high-quality volume operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required
  • The position requires strong communication skills, superior organizational skills and a customer service focus.
  • Valid Food Safe Certification and Serving it Right Certification
  • 2+ years of experience in food and beverage, ideally with both restaurant and banquet experience
  • Post-secondary education in the area of Food and Beverage or equivalent experience in Food and Beverage operations
