Sales Manager Jobs

Spirit Ridge, a leading resort in Canada and within the Hyatt Brand, continues to engage guests and create memories for guests and employees.
We are looking to add to our sales team! The Sales Manager will assist the hotel with booking conferences, meetings and events in the SMERF market segment. Responsible for maintaining existing relationships and assisting in the growth of new business and market-share. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing you will attend daily sales meetings and provide weekly sales reports. Visits to the resort for pre-determined meetings, site tours and VIP group events. Working remote from Okanagan region or the Lower Mainland. Position to follow all Hyatt and Spirit Ridge Brand standards and reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Responsibilities.

• Qualifies lead inquiries, directs sales to clients and contract preparation.
• Maintains and grows relationships in the assigned markets.
• All other duties and support assigned by the Director of Sales
• Gather Sales related materials and create physical information packages for clients
• Exceeds budgeted group for SMERF segment.
• Networking with the market, attends future Tourism community events and business events representing the Hotel.
• Communicate and discuss all RFP leads with Director of Sales
• Reports weekly on sales activities and revenue generation.
• Liaison as Manager on Duty during meeting & event functions
• Coordinating & executing all Envision data and reports.
• Managing and maintaining the Envision database system on property level.
• Maintains presence on Lanyon & Cvent portals, responding to all leads and inquiries
• On property visits for VIP sites and events.
• Responsible for assisting with general sales functions within the property.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a Hotel Sales Manager role.
• Team player able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule. Schedule is 8:30 to 5:00 pm however can include evenings and weekends at times due to business events or travel.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Envision and Opera experience preferred
• Team player who possesses good planning and problem solving and the ability to work with other departments to exceed customer service.
• Experience with Word, Excel, PPT
• Able to follow direction and think on owns own to maximize sales and office efficiency.
• Excellent organizational skills, meeting deadlines and client due dates
• Knowledge of business market an asset.
