What’s the role?


Business Development Lead

At 360 Energy, we’re on the cutting edge of energy and carbon management, and we're searching for an accomplished sales leader to join our expanding team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our business expansion, primarily focusing on the industrial, commercial, and public sectors. Your primary mission will be to cultivate new relationships, understand prospects' needs, and articulate the unmatched value that 360 Energy can bring to their business.

Our ideal candidate will boast an extensive and influential network in the Ontario business community, with notable recognition across North America. Being based in the Greater Toronto/Hamilton Area would be ideal; however, we are open to offering location flexibility for an exceptional candidate.

Location: Acaster, With the flexibility to work remotely and an expectation of 1-2 days in the office each week)

Key Responsibilities:

·Develop and execute a business growth strategy, targeting new clients and revenue avenues.

·Engage and understand potential clients' energy needs, positioning 360 Energy as their go-to solution.

·Research and engage with prospects in target markets.

·Showcase the unique value of 360 Energy’s solutions during client interactions.

·Analyze client portfolios to identify sales opportunities.

·Advise the 360 Energy Management Team on market trends and emerging opportunities.

·Proactively secure new business opportunities through diligent prospecting and consistent follow-ups.

·Regularly engage with clients through meetings and visits.

·Craft detailed proposals and reports in response to client inquiries.

·Stay updated on industry trends, competitor actions, and customer preferences to refine sales tactics.

·Collaborate cross-functionally with the product, marketing, and operations teams to align sales strategies with company objectives.

·Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to inform sales approaches.

·Attend and represent 360 Energy in industry events, conferences, and seminars, broadening our network and influence.

·Uphold 360 Energy's commitment to exceptional customer service.

What do you need to be successful?

·Excellent English verbal and written communication and presentation skills

·Experience at face-to-face dealings with customers to resolve issues and close orders

·A sales professional who has integrity and seen as a trustworthy problem solver

·A proven networker and ability to work with industry, commercial and public sectors

·Ability to effectively communicate with Senior Level Management

·Effective time management skills

·An independent self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

·Post-secondary education or relevant industry experience

·5-10 years of outside B2B sales experience (industry experience an asset)

·History of exceeding sales goals/quotas

·Valid driver’s license with safe driving record and minimal traffic violations
