Mission
As a Building Mechanical Engineer, you will use your versatile skills to ensure the smooth running of the projects in which you participate. You will divide your time between working in the office, at home and in the field, providing personalized services on multidisciplinary projects in the Montérégie, Eastern Townships and Centre-du-Québec regions. At CIMA+, you will be part of a firm that engineers for people.
In addition to in-depth knowledge of building engineering, the person we’re looking for must have the ability to solve problems on construction sites. This professional challenge will enable you to develop your building engineering skills while working with passionate people renowned for their expertise.
Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in the resolution of technical problems.
• Monitor site progress and keep the project manager informed of delays and issues as required.
• Participate in partial supervision of construction work. 
• Determine construction costs and quantities in accordance with standard methods and drawings and specifications.
• Attend site meetings and conduct field visits.
• Actively participate in the design and development of drawings and specifications for ventilation, air conditioning, heating, cooling and plumbing systems.
• Ensure work compliance.
• Prepare progress reports and contribute to the development of the action plan.
• Carry out surveys and studies and write technical reports.

Profile

• Excellent communication and priority management skills
• Three years’ experience in building mechanical design or site supervision
• Proven experience in building mechanics, having developed effective site management skills and a good command of techniques
• ASP Construction training
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with engineering designation recognized by the OIQ
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
