Demonstrated experience using AutoDesk Revit.

Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

You have 2+ years of practical experience designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings.

You have certification or eligibility to register with EGBC as an Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) is preferred.

Perform design calculations using industry software or Microsoft Excel.

Design layouts for building mechanical systems.

Certification as a Power Engineer 5th Class or higher (copy of certification to be provided upon request);

Experience maintaining heating and ventilation systems (HVAC) and hot water boilers;

Experience with Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems.

Good organizational and problem solving skills;

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team or individual environment; and

Ability to adapt to changing priorities;

Provides maintenance and related trade support services

Uses standard contract specifications to monitor, direct and inspect the work of contractors.

Tracks costs and certifies contractor performance

Co-ordinates small projects such as renovations and moves from inception to completion

Performs inspections and recommends required maintenance, repairs and alterations for building fabric and systems

Schedules preventive and planned maintenance and maintains service reports

·Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

·Proficient in using project management and collaboration tools.

·Prior experience or internships in the building condition assessment/ building science industry is a plus.

·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Extensive experience (8+ years) in mechanical design and drafting for building services, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, Sanitary and fire protection systems.

Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, OBC) related to mechanical building systems.

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing design and modelling projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and meeting project deadlines.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information and work well within a team environment.

Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex design challenges and propose innovative solutions.

Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable design practices in mechanical systems is highly desirable.

Proven experience in building mechanics, having developed effective site management skills and a good command of techniques

Excellent communication and priority management skills

Monitor site progress and keep the project manager informed of delays and issues as required.

Three years’ experience in building mechanical design or site supervision

Actively participate in the design and development of drawings and specifications for ventilation, air conditioning, heating, cooling and plumbing systems.

Previous experience using Revit MEP is desirable
