Job Description
The main purpose of this role will be to create and produce highly engaging events and experiences that increase brand visibility and grow our audience.


We are looking for a brand marketing lead who is excited by the opportunity to create brand love through experiential marketing. From local community events to large-scale activations, they have the ability to translate the Lush brand into memorable, immersive experiences for existing and potential customers. They’re a highly organized and solutions-oriented marketer who thrives under pressure — leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful events that increase brand awareness, enhance brand perception and strengthen loyalty within the Lush community.


Core RESPONSIBILITIES will include:


Strategy & Planning


  • Map the role of events and activations in the customer journey and collaborate with the brand marketing team to produce omnichannel promotional strategies
  • Lead the development and implementation of the marketing strategy for globally-driven initiatives launching in North America, such as concept shops and Lush Spa
  • Own, develop and implement an annual experiential marketing strategy for Lush North America, including but not limited to pop-up events, brand activations and community events
  • Develop and propose opportunities to execute in-person events to support business goals and/or campaigns, product launches and other business initiatives
  • Leverage consumer insights and data to develop project briefs for cross-functional teams
  • Identify opportunities to build community and drive word-of-mouth awareness through brand activations or experiences in key target markets


Collaboration


  • Delegate tasks to the brand project manager, marketing coordinator and external vendors as needed to support event production
  • Work closely with the UK events team to adapt global strategies for the North American market
  • Build relationships with external agencies or vendors aligned with Lush’s values to create a support network for event execution
  • Work in partnership with the brand marketing and publishing teams to support campaigns, product launches and brand initiatives
  • Provide strategic solutions and direction to communication tasks - work with the PR teams to deliver a cohesive communication strategy per project


Research & Reporting


  • Maintain up-to-date budgets for active projects and report spending every month to the brand finance business partner
  • Reporting on the impact of brand events and marketing activity - measurement, tracking and reporting of reach, brand sentiment, traffic and audience growth
  • Conduct data and statistical analysis to evaluate current market trends and identify public demands to develop opportunities for Lush North America
  • Create presentations for internal audiences as needed to keep key stakeholders informed on new ideas, progress and results


You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS :


  • Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, working with and building on others’ ideas as well as coming up with ideas themselves
  • Proven leadership skills; can spearhead new initiatives and motivate others to deliver results
  • Confident in reviewing, analyzing and implementing learnings from market research and consumer trends
  • Strong background in experiential marketing, retail marketing and/or public relations
  • Experience using analytics and data to track project performance and develop actionable recommendations
  • Broad understanding of the business and passion for the industry and Lush brand - and drive to help others understand it too
  • Fosters connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, commercially minded and objective
  • Effective communication skills; written and verbal
  • Superior interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work exceptionally well as part of a team
  • Ability to problem-solve, think critically and present effective solutions and out-of-the-box ideas
  • 3-5 years of proven brand marketing experience with success in building, executing and promoting events or activations for a retail brand, preferably in the cosmetics industry


Location: Role will ideally be located in Vancouver area, but open to successful candidate being remote within Canada.
