The Brand Manager, Canada will work closely with the Senior Director of International Marketing to define market strategy, and create and execute marketing activities and innovation plans for Canada, a priority growth market for Beyond Meat globally. The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of their portfolio including overall brand strategy, innovation, analytics, communications, partnerships, and sponsorships. They will also oversee creative, media, promotion execution and drive the consumer journey and experience at our Beyond Food Truck sampling events.
The ideal candidate will be a CPG trained marketer with an entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative approach to teamwork influencing local & global cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives. They will balance creative skills with critical thinking, project management, and performance tracking - and are someone who wants a front row seat to transforming how Canada eats!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all shopper and retailer marketing including sponsorships, brand partnerships, and Beyond Food Truck activations, with support from Canada Field Marketing lead.
- Support foodservice team with B2B/B2C marketing campaigns as identified, with support from Global Foodservice marketing team.
- Build and execute trial & velocity driving plans for Beyond Meat’s products, partnering with Global Innovation, Design, Media & PR teams, and Canada Sales on channel, customer and category development.
- Lead full digital and social ecosystem including social channels, ecomm, search, website, and e-mail; driving strategy, content, and tracking, with support from Global Media team and agency partners.
- Lead the management and growth of the Beyond Meat brand in Canada across retail & foodservice channels, driving consumer-centric planning, integrated marketing and communications across paid/owned/earned media, and innovation.
- Become the expert of consumer, category and competitive dynamics in the rapidly evolving plant-based meat category to inform initiatives.
- Support in building and delivering on innovation & renovation in partnership with Global Innovation and cross-functional teams ie. understanding the consumer and category, building business cases, oversight of project teams and timelines, sell-in materials, go-to market plans.
- Lead business & brand intelligence developing a monthly dashboard that tells a cohesive story with actionable insights, based on strategic analysis of multiple data sources including Nielsen and shipment data.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience driving creative development and working directly with internal and agency teams.
- Proven problem solving skills with resourcefulness and a strong bias for results with willingness to “roll up their sleeves” and get it done.
- General Manager mindset with a bias towards delighting consumers.
- Ability to act with urgency and ownership even when faced with ambiguity.
- Strategic thinker who has an ability to derive insights from data and develop the insights into opportunities for growth, championing ideas into execution.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years brand marketing experience in the CPG industry; bilingual preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cross-functional interdependencies, with the ability to influence the internal network to drive results.
Work Environment
- Remote role based in Canada, ideally within the Greater Toronto Area where our Sales & Marketing teams are located.
