Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) who will be embedded in the business, operate with a consultative approach, and provide a best-in-class employee experience. This role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The HRBP will serve as a consultant/partner to both the senior leaders and management teams with the goal of aligning best HR practices to business strategies. This position will report to the HR Director, Canada and will be evaluated on their ability to improve employee retention of key talent, improve employee engagement and successful integration with the business they support. This individual will also work on national HR projects and initiatives as required.


Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Act as the point-of-contact and advisor on compensation actions, including individual promotions, equity adjustments and related actions.
  • Provide performance management guidance to management for coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage, recommend and implement remedies on employee relations issues (to include conducting thorough and objective investigations, assessing risk and determining appropriate course of action).
  • Work with businesses on workforce planning; including review and localize job descriptions, facilitate local interview process for hiring and develop and deliver local onboarding and facility orientation programs.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase engagement and retention.

Qualifications:


Education and Professional Experience:

  • Experience in labour relations would be an asset
  • Demonstrated accuracy, the ability to prioritize, work independently under minimal supervision and attention to detail are critical to success in this position
  • Five to six years of Human Resources experience, including experience in partnering with managers to deliver HR solutions, driving organizational change initiatives and ability to engage, interact and influence business outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Must be Bilingual in French/English
  • CHRL designation is an asset
  • Ability and willingness to travel to locations within Southern Ontario regularly up to 50%
  • Secondary School Graduate - Post secondary studies in Human Resources or Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education, professional training and work experience
