Purpose of Role: The Application Engineer will be providing technical support to customers and to account managers by interpreting specifications and selecting equipment to meet customer requirements. They will have ongoing communication with customers and suppliers and will help with preparing sales/product presentations/proposals for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Focus Area: Prepare product quotations and bids for large mining equipment packages
• Focus Area: Provide technical support and expertise for the outside sales force, consultants and customers
• Focus Area: Develop an understanding of the key hard rock mining/aggregates customers and EPCs, of the applications and of the products/materials used.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
• Focus Area: Support aftermarket sales through field/site visits to understand how our equipment operates and wears and to work with the technology centre to develop product/material improvements in line with customer expectations

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Member or eligible to become a member of a Professional Engineering Association, having attained or working towards P Eng designation
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
• Bachelors degree; Mechanical Engineering preferred
