What you’ll be working on
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and operate cross-platform web and mobile applications. You will be working with an experienced global cross-functional team to build and launch awesome user experiences for the players as well as the creators hosting the games.
We are looking for engineers with a strong acumen for producing and operating high performance APIs running on Kubernetes in AWS. Experience with CI/CD on Gitlab, Terraform and application monitoring with Datadog is a big plus!
What you’ll get to do:
  • Work directly with our engineering team as the lead on best practices for deploying, developing and scaling our entire technology stack
  • Develop broad business skills and experiences
  • Lead the development of our next-generation data infrastructure to support complex real-time data pipelines, machine learning workflows, large scale mobile and web applications
  • Design, build and continuously optimize the technology stack (cloud, monitoring, CI/CD, paging etc.) powering a best-in-class customer experience
  • Rapidly prototype new technologies do demonstrate how they can be applied to our problem sets and help guide future technology choices
  • Understand business goals behind every feature creating solutions that launch amazing customer experience
  • Develop our testing infrastructure for load, stress, and performance testing
  • Build secure, performant, scalable Infrastructure for the rapid release of high-quality software
  • A deploy anywhere infrastructure that ‘just works’ and is highly available and repeatable
  • Become obsessed with the customer and the relevant user journey data that informs strategy for the business as a whole
  • Configuration management, containerization, and management of our full stack of mobile applications, web applications, data infrastructure, machine learning infrastructure
  • Be lean in how you operate, always improving, always aligned to the bigger picture
  • Work side by side with a multi-disciplinary, diverse team to make meaningful decisions together
What you bring to the table:
  • Experience with designing serverless API architectures with an emphasis on scalability, performance, security, and extensibility
  • You are great in ambiguous situations and prefer it to be that way
  • Experience with MLOps or experience in machine learning is a major bonus
  • Strong Knowledge of containers/serverless management/configuration management at scale
  • You iterate quickly, believe in constant and consistent improvement, and continuous learning.
  • Excitement, energy, and strong people skills including excellent communication capabilities
  • Strong experience working with Kubernetes
  • Strong experience working with Terraform
  • Previous experience leading the development of core infrastructure
  • An understanding of platform, application and data security
  • Experience in a startup or venture-like operating model preferred
  • A deep understanding of Authentication and Authorization (ideally; OIDC, oAuth2, Auth0)
  • 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems and clustered computing
  • Experience developing complex applications in an agile environment as part of a multi-disciplinary, diverse team of engineers, designers, product experts, marketers and strategists
  • Strong Knowledge of Networking both on prem and in the cloud and on containers
  • Minimum 5 years experience working on complex infrastructure in a large scale setting
  • A nimble approach to thinking strategically while rolling up your sleeves and getting great work done
  • 8+ years of DevOps experience - or relevant experience (as backend engineer, liveops engineer, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and take pride in your ability to communicate and distill complex topics into succinct explanations.
  • Experience with modern web application development, including build tools, testing and CI/CD (ideally: GitHub Actions)
  • Strong experience working with AWS cloud platforms - 5+ years minimum
  • You are willing to take responsibility for you work and have a heightened sense of ownership
  • Strong Knowledge of GPU infrastructures for accelerated computations
  • Working knowledge of security best practices, specifically related to PII
  • Strong knowledge of Linux System Design, MacOS, iOS architectures
  • 4+ years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS.
  • Strong Knowledge of Complex job and workflow management technologies
