Responsibilities
The Application Engineer will be a critical member of our Engineering team, responsible for ensuring that our products meet our customers' specific technical requirements. In addition, you will play a key role in identifying and mitigating technical risks, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing technical support to our customers and partners throughout the product life cycle.
You will work closely with our sales team[MB1] , providing technical expertise related to the integration of our system within different vehicle platforms. Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare documents (assembly, installation, maintenance instructions) of each specific application.
- Lead discussions with customers, original equipment manufacturers, and bodybuilders to understand their specific requirements.
- Manage project schedule and collaborate with supply chain and operations for production planning.
- Elaborate the bill of materials required to adapt our product to the vehicle.
- Define system functions and requirements for the integration of our product into specific vehicles.
- Collaborate with product engineers to specify and implement features allowing easier integration.
- Conduct problem-solving projects related to integration between our product and other vehicle systems.
- Conduct technical assessments of sales offers.
- Specify, design, analyze and develop mechanical and electrical components and subcomponents required for the integration of our systems within specific vehicles.
Required Profile
- Excellent knowledge of the interactions and constraints between engineering domains.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems (an asset).
- Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles or industrial production (an asset).
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, automated production, mechatronics or equivalent.
- Interest in vehicles electrification.
- Autonomy, resourcefulness and sense of organization.
- Experience with multi-domains product integration (mechanical, electrical, software).
- Knowledge of electric motor systems (an asset).
- Knowledge of energy storage systems (an asset).
- Ability to lead technical discussions with people from different backgrounds.
- Experience with requirements management (an asset).
- Experience in computer-aided design (CAD/PLM) (an asset).
- Ability to effectively plan work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to find innovative solutions to complex problems.
