The Position – Operations Staff: We’re looking for a person to join our team. Operations staff help the advisors run the office – this means everything from scheduling and preparing for meetings, providing client service by phone, email, and in person and various other administrative and business development tasks. The operations team member is expected to provide professional, knowledgeable support to the firm’s advisors, clients, and coworkers. This position will be supporting advisors from both locations (Belleville & Kingston) but will be based out of the Belleville location. Occasional travel to Kingston will be expected.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Opportunities for advancement based on continuing education/licensing are available.
Requirements:
- Critical thinking & problem-solving skills - Have the ability to juggle and co-ordinate many unrelated activities, and know how to prioritize tasks
- A willingness to learn and be challenged every day
- Ability to work independently and also co-operatively in a team environment
- Experience using a client management system or database is considered an asset
- Works well under pressure
- Well-versed in technology including Windows operating system, Microsoft Teams and in particular, Office 365 (with a special focus on Excel) is a key requirement
- Knowledge of life insurance and/or investment products are considered an asset
Responsibilities:
- Office administrative tasks including filing and organization
- Providing support to your coworkers when needed
- Assisting advisor to prepare for meetings including portfolio review and preparing materials for presentation
- Greeting clients when they come into the office for meetings
- Providing support to clients over the phone, by email, and in person
