Le Centre de santé Tulattavik de L'Ungava est situé à Kuujjuaq. Il dispense l'ensemble des services de santé et services sociaux dans la partie est du Nunavik. Il dessert sept communautés inuites avec autant de CLSC, un centre pour personnes âgées et un centre hospitalier à Kuujjuaq. Il emploie environ 1 000 employés administrateurs, professionnels, médecins, dentistes, psychologues, infirmiers, travailleurs sociaux, personnel de soutien, employés occasionnels, etc.

Les communautés du Nunavik se situent au nord du 55e parallèle où prévaut un climat subarctique. Il entraîne l'existence d'un pergélisol et ne permet aucune agriculture. Le Nunavik est la plus grande région couvrant environ les tiers de la superficie globale du Québec. Aucune liaison routière n'existe entre les communautés du Nunavik et le Québec méridional, ni entre les communautés du Nunavik elles-mêmes. On a accès à cette région et à ses communautés que par avion et par bateau.

FONCTIONS

Sous l'autorité hiérarchique du directeur des soins infirmiers et des services hospitaliers, l'adjoint au directeur – volet soins infirmiers, coordonne la gestion des services de son secteur d'activités. Il participe à la structuration, à l'organisation et au bon fonctionnement des départements sous sa responsabilité.

En association avec le directeur et le personnel cadre sous sa responsabilité, il planifie, organise, dirige et contrôle les activités des services suivants suivi systématique de la clientèle, maintien à domicile, infirmière pivot en pédiatrie, CLSC dispensaire des 7 communautés de la Baie d'Ungava, l'unité de soins et la réception de centre de santé. Il supporte le chef d'unité des soins infirmiers dans la gestion de ses services. Il assume la responsabilité de la gestion des ressources humaines, financières et informationnelles de ses différents services. Il assure la garde administrative d'urgence, sur rotation, pour tous les services du Centre de Santé à Kuujjuaq.

Membre en règle de l’OIIQ

Baccalauréat en sciences infirmières ou toute autre formation combinée à une expérience pertinente;

Maîtrise en gestion sera considérée comme un atout

Minimum de trois (3) ans d’expérience dans un poste de gestion ou expérience pertinente à la fonction

Connaissance du travail en région éloignée ou en milieu autochtone un atout

Bilinguisme essentiel (français et anglais) parlés et écrits; l’inuktitut est un atout

Leadership, initiative, autonomie et capacité de travailler avec des équipes multidisciplinaires et des organismes du milieu

Disponibilité pour voyager dans les autres communautés au besoin

The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is located in Kuujjuaq. It offers all the health services and social services in the eastern part of Nunavik. It serves seven Inuit communities with equal CLSC, a center for the elderly and a hospital in Kuujjuaq. It employs approximately 1,000 employees administrators, professionals, doctors, dentists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, support staff, etc.

Nunavik communities are located north of the 55th parallel where a subarctic climate prevails. It implies the existence of permafrost and allows no agriculture. Nunavik is the largest area covering about a third of the total area of Quebec. No road link exists between the communities of Nunavik and southern Quebec, and between Nunavik communities themselves. We have access to the region and its communities by air and boat.

Main duties

Under the hierarchical authority of the Director of Nursing and Hospital Services, the Assistant to the Director - Nursing Component, coordinates the management of the services in his/her sector of activity. He/she participates in the structuring, organization and proper functioning of the departments under his/her responsibility.

In association with the Director and the management staff under his responsibility, he plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of the following services systematic client follow-up, home care, pediatric nurse pivot, CLSC dispensary of the 7 Ungava Bay communities, the care unit and the health center reception. He supports the head of the nursing unit in the management of his services. He assumes responsibility for the management of human, financial and informational resources of his various services. He assures the emergency administrative guard, on rotation, for all the services of the Health Center in Kuujjuaq.

Requirements

• Availability to travel to other communities if required
• Knowledge of working in a remote or Aboriginal environment is an asset
• Master's degree in management will be considered an asset
• Leadership, initiative, autonomy and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and community organizations
• Bilingualism essential (French and English) spoken and written; Inuktitut is an asset
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing, or any other training combined with relevant experience
• Minimum of three years experience in a management position or experience relevant to the position
• Member in good standing of the OIIQ

SALARY Working conditions shall be those applicable to mid-managers of the Health and Social Services network.
