Accounting Team Lead - Onboarding Specialist

The Role

Treewalk is an innovative and entrepreneurial mid-size accounting firm headquartered out of Vancouver with expanding office presence across the country. Treewalk is looking for an Accounting Team Lead – Onboarding Specialist to serve as the face of the accounting team in initial client interactions and instill confidence in the firm as they transition their business to us.

We are looking for a client focused and organized individual that will relish in the opportunity to oversee our bookkeeping client onboarding. This will include getting a clear understanding of our clients’ concerns, uncovering any needs that may have initially been overlooked, and clearly communicating how our services will assist them. We need someone that will take pride in organizing client files, identifying areas for improvement, and most importantly delivering a quality experience for both our clients and internal teams alike.

What will your days look like

• Review client bookkeeping on a monthly basis
• Provide guidance and support to accounting team members on an as-needed basis
• Set-up client databases to align with Treewalk processes and procedures
• Curates processes to ensure seamless transitions to permanent bookkeeper for new files
• Gather, analyze, and process client data during any data migrations
• Understand client needs, assess resourcing required and set expectations for deliverables
• Guide new clients in their transition to Treewalk bookkeeping services
• Consult with new clients to compile financial data and set up files in various accounting software
• Aids with or directs clean up of client books as needed

Our Ideal Candidate…

• Excellent client facing skills
• Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online
• Advanced experience with other accounting software and tools such as; QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50, DEXT and Plooto
• Confident presence and strong communication skills
• General understanding of ASPE and/or IFRS accounting standards
• Curious or investigative nature
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Clear understanding of bookkeeping and internal finance processes
• Experience documenting firm/client best practices and SOPs
• CPA designation, or in later stages of the CPA program

Annual Salary - $75,000 - $86,000

( $75,000 is for non designated candidates and $86,000 is for candidates with CPA designation)
