Tirecraft is a proudly Canadian owned and operated expert in tires and automotive services. Our Support Center has created a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate to add some finance and office experience to their resume. The Accounting Office Assistant will assist with the audit prep, filling (electronically and paper records), data entry, assist with monthly reports and reconciliations, scanning documents and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry, scanning documents, filling (electronically and paper records)
• We are happy to get input on other areas of interest for the right candidate
• Audit data preparation
• Assist other Finance Team members on projects as needed
• Attend weekly status update meetings with auditors and Finance Team
• Balance intercompany receivable & payable accounts
• Integrating administrative duties from acquisitions
• Generate weekly reports
• Balance cash floats monthly
• Other duties as assigned
• Assist with monthly reports and reconciliations
• Review Inventory in Transit and Non-stock accounts

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe, with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets.
• Currently pursuing a university/college degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of the interactions between sub ledger and general ledger
• Ability to identify issues or discrepancies in basic transactional accounting
• Demonstrated ability for teamwork, collaboration as well as working individually.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Able to learn and work with new systems and technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of audit requirements

Working hours are 8 hours per day, five days per week; approximately June - September
Job Type: Seasonal Contract length: Approximately 3-4 months
