Accounting Manager/Supervisor Jobs

Your role as a Manager/Director of Financial Services contributes to our organization in the following ways:

• Responds to inquiries related to financial results.
• Prepares audit files and liaise with auditors to ensure completion of year-end audit.
• Completion of all Ministry reporting, such as the Annual Reconciliation Report (ARR), MIS and staffing reports.
• Works in accordance with the organization's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Interfaces with other departments/homes for data verification and confirmation that established policies and procedures are being upheld.
• Prepares monthly financial statements and ensures timely reporting of all financial information.
• Assists in periodic and ad-hoc report preparation and analysis.
• Provides support for accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll related functions.

Requirements

• A recognized degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) year’s working experience in accounting and finance in a long-term care environment.
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector check.
• Proficiency with office productivity applications is required.
• ERP Software System experience required. PointClickCare Software system knowledge is preferred.
• Must possess a sound knowledge of the Ministry of Long-Term Care reporting standards.
• Must posses excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
• Demonstrated experience with large automated accounting systems is preferred.
