The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of an organization, including performing financial functions related to the maintenance of the accounting system ensuring strong internal controls; responsible for monthly reconciliations, analysis and reporting of the company's financial operations. This is an 18-month term position with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
What you will do:

• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
• Support the Director of Finance and CFO
• Identify ad hoc accounting issues and improvements as they occur and recommend solutions
• Manage the accounting team with day-to-day tasks and provide guidance and support
• Coordinate the month-end and year-end close process to ensure an accurate and timely month close
• Support & cover for other Finance team members as and when necessary e.g.during periods of sickness or holiday
• Prepare entity level & consolidated financial statements and management reports
• Preparation and review of month-end and year-end working papers, including Balance Sheet reconciliation reconciliation reports and functional/departmental analysis reports
• Maintain and ensure adherence to a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Complete regulatory and tax filings in all of Semios’ jurisdictions and ensure compliance; Review and maintain Transfer Pricing policies
• Maintain the chart of accounts, an orderly accounting filing system, and a system of controls over accounting transactions ensuring best practice and efficiency without compromising quality
• Lead year-end audit, including close collaboration with external auditors, and assist with the production of year end statutory accounts

Requirements
We want you to succeed, so you will need:

• Self-directed, highly motivated and energetic
• Experience leading and managing the month end process and preparing financial reports
• A resilient, flexible, solution oriented approach to addressing areas of improvement, likes digging into issues and enjoys taking leadership in addressing problems
• Outstanding work ethic with strong commitment to quality and delivering on time
• Qualified CPA
• 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience with companies with multiple subsidiaries in different jurisdictions
• Comfortable as an individual contributor, collaborative team member and leader
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have:

• Public practice experience working with manufacturing clients
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
• Experience of identifying and implementing improvements that drive efficiencies and business performance
• Experience improvement productivity through automation and tool implementation
• Strong working knowledge of Google Suite
• Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience in a manufacturing and/or inventory management setting
