Post-secondary education (Degree in Management or Occupational Health & Safety) is an asset

Liaises with management and labour to ensure that the highest level of due diligence is maintained

Provides counsel and advice to project management on all health and safety related matters

Ensures management remains aware of any potential H&S related issues that may negatively impact the business

Works with management and employees to develop and implement appropriate return to work and modified work programs

Strong knowledge and work experience of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Performs such other and reasonable duties or responsibilities as may be required to maintain an effectively functioning site office

Strong working abilities with Microsoft Office programs including: Word, Excel, and Outlook

Previous administrative experience within a construction-site environment is preferred

Three (3) years' experience working in an administrative capacity in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Administers site operating practices such as record keeping systems and document control

Maintain documents for employee information including labour qualifications and certifications, training, etc.

Payroll data entry, SAP experience preferable

Assist the site manager and superintendents in tracking analysis and forecasting of ongoing projects

Preparation of timesheet and exceptions reporting for Project/Construction manager review

1-3 years minimum Construction site experience

Related post-secondary education considered an asset

At least seven years of relevant experience, with five years of leading and executing field work.

This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities

Maintaining logs/reports including site, production, timekeeping, Daily Field Work report, WIP sign-offs/status, and associated drawing sign-offs.

Responsible for ensuring trained and qualified resources are effectively deployed, aligned, and utilized, increasing overall productivity.

Prepares work permits, leads Pre-Job Briefings and Post Job Reviews, or delegates this responsibility as needed.

Diploma in Health & Safety an asset

Good knowledge and demonstrated experience in application of negotiation skills

Manages project risk with regular review with development of mitigation strategies and escalation to Management, as required.

Reports on project performance to clients, management and other stakeholders. Manages customer/client expectations and satisfaction throughout the project’s duration

A thorough knowledge of procurement and financial processes

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook)

Manage the delivery of medium-risk S&T projects to meet schedule, cost, quality and safety objectives to the full satisfaction of customers

Formal Education in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Risk Management

Provide support for incident investigations, including identifying investigation requirements and leading of high-risk investigations,

3-5 years’ experience with construction/project safety experience

Strong organizational, coaching, communication and interpersonal skills

Assist with the development of construction safety plans; participate in kickoff and progress meetings and participate in hazard identification,

Participate in the development and implementation of new programs or systems to further the health and safety objectives of the organization,

Knowledge of Design Engineering practices, organization and quality assurance processes, Engineering Change Control and Configuration Management.

Knowledge of CNL's engineering practices, organization and quality management program is an asset.

Sound knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and more than ten (10) years of significant related experience.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a nuclear environment

Sound knowledge of HVAC and nuclear ventilation systems and Pressure Boundary systems

Knowledge CNL Pressure Boundary program is an asset.

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Ability to learn our basic warehouse management scanning system (WMS)

No previous warehouse experience is required but it is always a plus!
