Provide recommendations to Production management on possible improvements.

Ensure production requirements are achieved.

Notify the maintenance team of additional maintenance requirements.

Completion of a post-secondary diploma and a minimum of three years' supervisory experience in a food manufacturing and/or processing environment

Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA and OHSA

Experience with coordinating, supervisor and scheduling unionized employees

Communicate daily production statistics effectively and respectfully with Production Manager, all Senior Management, and employees.

Other duties may be assigned by management

A minimum of high school, with preference of post-secondary education or experience

Report results, issues, and problems and the end of each shift to the Production Manager.

Manage resources effectively to prevent waste.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, Word and Excel

Knowledge and experience gained in operating within a food manufacturing environment

Desirable skills/ experience required for the role:

Managing leave requests and the requirement of holiday cover and managing absence using HR policies

Excellent numeracy and literacy at secondary education level

Your Main Responsibilities Would Be

Ensuring the safe production, storage, receipt, and dispatch of products within internal and external specifications and within critical control points

Promote and assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System

Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills (ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and Word,Email).

Warehouse Supervisory experience considered an asset

Communicate and update direct reports for business updates/ Union grievances/ Management decisions.

Update the Management periodically with solutions/ action

Work with the Industry Engineering Techs to calculate the man power requirement and balance lines for optimum output.

Identify Training requirements for each section/ lines and coordinate with Training Supervisor

Over 10 years of Apparel Manufacturing experience

Review the Production Schedule daily and plan work for the line (Sewing, Down fill)

Exceptional People Management skills and ability to lead a team of up to 50 employees.

Excellent and demonstrated people management skills.

Experience/knowledge of OHSA and regulations.

Manage safe work conditions and practices within the production area. Enforce company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.

Communicate effectively with other department managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure timely resolution of problems to achieve department and company objectives.

Create, measure, and report KPIs to employees and Managers.

Knowledge of MS Office, and solid computer skills

Bachelor’s degree, technical diploma, or related industry experience

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience

Good working knowledge of sawmill and planer mill equipment

2-3 years proven experience as a manufacturing supervisor or a similar role in a production environment.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.

Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.

Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules

At Least 5 years proven experience as Production Supervisor

Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools

Advanced skills in MS Office

This is a permanent position, salary based on experience

Experienced as a supervisor and/or providing leadership to production teams in dairy or related food or pharmaceutical industry. HACCP exposure preferred.

One to two years of warehouse supervisory experience or related supervisory experience that yields the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Demonstrated skills in inventory management

Working knowledge of Provincial and VVS / Savers safety regulations and requirements

Establish working relationships with warehouse vendors and works with management when new vendors are required.

Assists management in TM reviews.
