Training and mentoring of employees in job duties, safety procedures and company policies;

3+ years of production supervisory/leadership experience in a unionized setting, ideally within a similar manufacturing environment and with similar equipment;

Applied experience in Lean Manufacturing Principles;

Ideal to have experience in a:

Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of employees on various pieces of equipment;

Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments;

High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position, including repeated bending, stretching, twisting and lifting

Availability to start within two weeks after offer made/accepted

Possess a valid driver's license in good standing

Bilingual in French and intermediate English (spoken and written)

Ability to set and prioritize goals

Ability to plan and prioritize, good stress management;

Have a College Diploma (DEC) or High School Diploma combined with work experience relevant to the role;

Experience in the manufacturing or printing industry (asset);

Remote work is not possible in this role;

Manage the major turnarounds in terms of labour.

Provide coverage for the Production Manager, and Production Coordinator. Complete the weekly payroll for the production teams

Bachelor of Engineering degree or Technologist or relevant plant experience

2 year of cement manufacturing experience OR five years of production supervisory experience in a heavy industry,

Excellent Knowledge of the cement technology and manufacturing process

Excellent leadership ability and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with plant and regional personnel.

Candidates must possess education generally equivalent to a college diploma or higher.

Minimum of 3 years of prior supervisory experience in a production-manufacturing environment (within food manufacturing or packaging).

Demonstrated experience in proposing and driving change initiatives/improvement programs.

2+ years of experience as a builder/carpentry

Supervisory experience is an asset

Computer skills are considered an asset

Leads team by following procedures and demonstrating safe work behaviors

Works in a fast-paced environment, and meets or exceeds production targets

Communicates information and priorities to the team and ensures they have the direction and tools needed to complete their tasks
