Focus Area: Communicate with engineering, management, and other trades colleagues as needed to help determine a suitable course of repair.

Millwright certification with inter-provincial tickets

Previous experience working in a pump or valve shop is preferred

Previous machinery install experience is preferred

Focus Area: Assembly, repair and overhaul of process equipment, including HPGR, pumps, cyclones, and valves

Focus Area: Support clients by problem solving mechanical issues in both a shop and field environment.

2 to 3+ years' experience as an industrial millwright

Knowledge of conveyor systems and power transmission

Skilled with mills, lathes, grinder and welding

Previous experience in a JIT work environment preferred.

Install, maintain and program Atlas Copco DC electric torque tools

Assists with the installation of plant equipment

Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Must hold a valid Ontario License Certificate of Qualification issued by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.

Perform all duties in accordance with Trade 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright.

Possess all common hand tools and able to read, interpret and use micrometers, verniers, etc.

Basic operations of machine tools, lathes, mills, grinder drills, etc.

Capable of lining up shafts and couplings etc.

CLAC benefits, RRSP, training allowance

Experience working on Caterpillar equipment and Caterpillar service information systems required

Previous side boom, shovel, and pipeline equipment repair experience required

Experience working in both a field and a shop environment considered an asset

CLAC rate: $55.50/hr, time and a half after 8 hours per day

Shift - 14 on 14 off - nights

Proficient with MS Office tools, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (ie MP2) is required

Work proactively to continuously improve plant mechanical performance. Make recommendations for improvement to Maintenance supervisor, planner, and manager.

Experience with welding, hydraulics, blueprint reading, minor machining, minor electrical repairs

Previous experience with computers (solid understanding of MS Excel and Word)

Post Secondary education in a related field

Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts

Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment.

Experienced using a lathe, mill, drill press and other machining equipment.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience with printing and high-speed packaging equipment.

Experienced using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Respond to breakdowns with a sense of urgency.

Troubleshooting and problem solving of production equipment.

Report facility-related deficiencies for remediation by the Facilities Management department

4 periods of Millwright Apprenticeship training as well as 7200 hours of practical onsite experience

Experience maintaining or using Machining equipment such as Lathes and Mills is an asset

Basic knowledge of computer applications and comfort learning new ones

Forklift experience is an asset
