Proven recent program development experience, with knowledge of federal, provincial contract management.

A minimum of 2-years’ experience in program management and/or funding and proposal/grant writing;

Experience with SharePoint and webinar development is strongly preferred along with strong computer literacy skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Knowledge and experience working with immigrant, refugee, ethnocultural and racialized communities

Knowledge and experience working in gender-based violence programs and systems.

Experience and knowledge of evaluation, outcomes measurement and research methodologies.

Demonstrates caring and respectful behavior with strong clinical, assessment, conflict management, communication, and organization skills.

Responsible for all HR business within the nursing and personal care department including recruitment, orientation, performance management, progressive discipline, etc.

At least 1 year of experience working as a registered nurse in the long-term care sector.

Promote and provide resident-centered care consistent with the Residents’ Bill of Rights, which are available for inspection before interviews.

Responsible for the training, coaching, and development of improvement plans of nursing staff as needed.

Participate in the CARF (The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) Accreditation process.

Organizational and leadership skills. Project management experience is an asset.

Experience in plastic molding is an asset.

Experience with GMP and in working in an ISO and FDA regulated environment is an asset.

Experience with LEAN Six Sigma manufacturing principles is an asset.

Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels in the organization.

•    Assists the Director of Care in formulating Nursing policies and procedures.

 Responds to customer enquiries directly and/or resolves difficult or highly sensitive complaints either verbally or in writing.

•    Assumes functions of the Director of Care in that person’s absence, as directed.

•    Successful completion of a Diploma in Health Sciences or related field from an accredited College.

•    Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and reliable vehicles for use on corporate business.

Demonstrated management and leadership skills

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Experience incorporating word processing into daily work activities as well as experience utilizing spreadsheets and creating formulas is required

Demonstrated organizational and planning skills with the ability to be flexible and identify work priorities

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses;

Must have 3 to 5years working in management position with seniors and disabled persons. Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Sound financial management skills and understanding of funding in a residential care setting

Extensive knowledge of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act; Residential Care Regulations; Service Provider Manual, including criteria for complex care

Director of Care, RN - Seniors Care

Possession of strong motivational, team building and time management skills

To oversee the financial and human resource management aspects of the Nursing department;

To collaborate with the Executive Director to select, orient and monitor the performance of departmental and program managers;
