At least 5 years of experience in construction and maintenance management.

Knowledgeable in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, etc.

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with contractors, employees, and clients.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

Planning and coordination of weekly shutdowns and other planned maintenance activities

Participate in daily production meetings

Coordinate with purchaser to ensure parts availability

Participate in providing after hours on-call technical support

Maintain performance records of maintenance personnel

Computer skills including working knowledge of MS office and building management software.

Maintaining the building envelope and overseeing the grounds; oversees site waste management program.

Journeyman or similar level of certificate in a trade appropriate for building maintenance; Or relevant training and experience.

Effective verbal and written English communication, organization and interpersonal skills is required.

WHMIS training and Occupational Health and Safety Certifications are assets.

Implementing, completing, maintaining and improving the preventative maintenance program, ensuring that all required checks are executed, promptly logged and documented.

Knowledge and/or experience in warehousing, mechanical, electrical and refrigeration is considered an asset.

Make recommendations for repairs, replacements, or upgrades to be reviewed with the Warehouse Managers.

3+ years of related and/or Supervisory experience.

Diploma or post-secondary education with Technical Certificate (Electrician, Material Handling Equipment Mechanic, HVAC / Refrigeration Technician) preferred.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Coordinate all aspects of regular maintenance, building improvements and repairs.

Secondary Education or a minimum of 5 years of Shop Management experience.

Manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure the proper maintenance of trucks and trailers, following our maintenance policies.

Manage equipment for third-party work and coordinate with Maintenance Managers from other terminals.

Manage and troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, water, electrical systems, kitchen, laundry, lighting and emergency systems.Leverage the building automation system wherever possible.

Champion the compliance with the requirements of the Brand Standards Audit (BSA) via self-audits and required/mandated training of staff.

6 years’ experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-/Electrical/Plumbing

Previous engineering experience working in a full-service hotel considered an important asset

Computer (BAS) / Office skills required

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Coordinate the replacement of lights across the stores, maintain lighting inventory and meet monthly lighting requirements.

Assist the Senior Manager with all other ongoing projects related to building maintenance.

Ensures that staff completes safety actions identified during management walk-downs, JHSC inspections and safety investigations.

Prior supervisory experience along with strong relationship building and effective team leadership abilities.

Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with knowledge of continuous improvement tools/techniques.

Selects and manages 3rd party maintenance contractors to augment in-house maintenance technicians; e.g. HVAC, plumbing, roofing, cranes and general construction contractors.

Plan and facilitate major civil projects such as buildings, waste management and structural steel fabrications.

Determine human resource and skill requirements and develop training programs.

Minimum 3 years experiences as a Maintenance Manager in automotive manufacturing environment preferred.

Recruit, organize, direct and control the skilled and semi-skilled trades of union personnel and oversee their training.

Responsible for performing and managing above duties in compliance with TS-16949 and ISO-14001 requirements.

Analyze information system requirements and performance and develop and implement new and modified systems.

Plans proposed renovations - determines requirements for services, materials and labor

Develops and supports cost-effective processes and strategies

Ensures equipment output, efficiencies, and reliability are improved through modifications, upgrades in process design, new equipment and layout changes

Recommends and completes required reports/documentation for the acquisition of equipment, tools and materials to improve quality and cost reduction

Implements and maintains systems of lean strategies to support the achievement of strategic business objectives

Plans, leads, and organizes all maintenance activities including corrective and preventative repairs as well as spare parts

5) Superintendent experience is considered an asset.
