Description du poste :

En tant que responsable de la maintenance chez Laidlaw Carriers, vous jouerez un rôle vital dans le bon fonctionnement et l'entretien de nos camions et remorques. Votre attitude positive et votre engagement en matière de sécurité seront essentiels pour créer une culture d'excellence au sein de notre équipe de maintenance. Vous collaborerez étroitement avec d'autres départements, notamment la sécurité et les opérations, pour fournir des services de maintenance efficaces.

En tant que responsable de la maintenance, vous devrez :

• Effectuer toutes vos tâches avec une attitude positive et en priorisant la sécurité.

• Gérer une équipe de mécaniciens pour assurer l'entretien adéquat des camions et des remorques, en respectant nos politiques de maintenance.

• Effectuer les services réguliers, tels que les services de 60 jours, les services A et B, ainsi que les services spéciaux pour remorques.

• Participer à la clôture des bons de travail internes et externes, en collaborant étroitement avec le personnel au besoin.

• Vérifier l'exactitude des pièces facturées sur les bons de travail, en collaboration avec les mécaniciens et les membres du personnel.

• Gérer les appels de dépannage pendant les heures d'ouverture de l'atelier et planifier les services d'astreinte avec l'équipe immédiate pour un support après les heures de travail.

• Gérer la commande et l'inventaire des pièces, en veillant à l'exactitude des stocks disponibles et en coordonnant l'achat et la planification des pièces principales pour les équipements de l'entreprise.

• Gérer l'équipement pour les travaux effectués par des tiers et coordonner avec les responsables de maintenance d'autres terminaux.

• Établir et maintenir des relations stratégiques avec les clients internes et externes.

• Collaborer avec les équipes de sécurité et d'opérations pour coordonner un atelier efficace et performant.

• Entreprendre d'autres projets et tâches assignés.

Ce que nous attendons de vous :

• Études secondaires ou minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en gestion d'atelier mécanique

• Permis 310T ou diplôme pertinent en véhicules lourds préféré.

• Maîtrise des logiciels Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

As a Maintenance Manager at Laidlaw Carriers, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our trucks and trailers. Your positive demeanor and commitment to safety will be essential in creating a culture of excellence within our maintenance team. You will collaborate closely with other departments, including Safety and Operations, to deliver efficient and effective maintenance services.

As a Maintenance Manager, you will:

  • Perform 60 Day, A services, B services, and special trailer services.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Operational teams to coordinate an efficient and effective shop.
  • Undertake other projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Manage parts ordering and inventory, ensuring accuracy of available stock and coordinating the purchase and scheduling of major parts for company equipment.
  • Conduct all job functions with a positive demeanor and a "Safety First" attitude.
  • Handle breakdown service calls during shop hours and schedule on-call services with the immediate team for after-hours support.
  • Monitor the accuracy of parts billed out on work orders in collaboration with mechanics and staff members.
  • Manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure the proper maintenance of trucks and trailers, following our maintenance policies.
  • Manage equipment for third-party work and coordinate with Maintenance Managers from other terminals.
  • Participate in closing internal and external work orders, working closely with the staff as needed.

What we need from you:

  • 310T license or relevant heavy vehicle diploma preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license as travel to client locations may be required.
  • Possesses a keen business sense and focuses on adding value to the team, clients, and the company.
  • Understanding of inventory controls.
  • Shares knowledge and capabilities, driving superior performance.
  • Ability to meet objectives, deadlines, and retain accountability.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and repair shops.
  • Demonstrates high integrity, a strong work ethic, and accountability.
  • Secondary Education or a minimum of 5 years of Shop Management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
