Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, e.g., Materials, Supply Chain Management and /or equivalent work-related experience.

Minimum 5 years managerial experience in a similar role, in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Manage suppliers, vendors, and outside processors.

Oversee production scheduling and work closely with Production Manager to achieve or exceed daily production targets.

Oversee the functions of materials, inventory, logistics and supply chain operations at the Brampton facility.

Establish and maintain KPI's and targets to meet company goals to archive business targets.

Other duties as required by management.

Perform mechanic functions including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs of production machines.

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on the lines, trailers and other equipment. Replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Implement changes that will decrease downtime.

Organize and maintain spare parts inventory, communicate when there are shortages.

Assist with training new employees and cross training as outlined in the training procedures.

· Problem-solving abilities and conflict management

· 3+ years of experience as a Production Manager

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field would be considered a strong asset

· Supervise production team to manage and execute production projects.

· Determine equipment, material and manpower requirements for project execution.

· Must have experience with managing employees
