Your Responsibilities In a Nutshell

Proficiency in Avantage and Business Central accounting software (assets)

Ensure that contracts are set up timely and accurately and proactively advising management when issues or delays arise.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with external and internal clients and management through clear, concise, timely communication and support.

At least 2 years of experience within a finance/accounting role at a publicly traded company; software preferred

Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices to manage DSO targets.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, CPA preferred

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required for this role

Resolve billing disputes, process subscription corrections, perform product cancellations, customer subscription termination and all related subscription management changes.

Effectively communicate with business partners to facilitate various aspects of the subscription management process and changes.

Knowledge of subscription-based billing model in SaaS based environment is a plus.

Advanced Microsoft Office and Power Point skills.

Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, problem solving, strategic and critical thinking, and strong written and oral communications skills

Ability to manage multiple cases and projects at once.

Minimum High School Diploma: Post-Secondary diploma/degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Billing and Collections and/or customer service.

Intermediate level PC and software skills required.

Experience with PLUS an asset.

Accurately process payments and returns received in Direct Billing.

Providing professional and respectful customer service to internal and external customers regarding all billing and collection related issues.

Demonstrable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Post-Secondary education in Accounting is required, or equivalent work experience.

Liaising with Finance Department to ensure client codes and contract specifications are up-to date and procedures are followed.

Acting as liaison between lawyers/LA’s and Finance, providing assistance re accounting or financial queries to ensure client needs are met.

Minimum of 3 years of related experience, including client service, billing, collections and\or accounts receivable, preferably in a professional services firm.

Familiarity\Experience with Aderant Expert or a similar accounting system would be an asset.
