As a Billing Analyst, You Will Be:

• Prepare, review, print/save quotes and final approved invoices in a timely manner, including any follow up that is required with others in the organization and in some cases, directly with the client
• Assist with other accounting projects as needed including continuous improvement of processes and building efficiencies through automation.
• Review executed legal agreements/sales arrangements (including statements of work) to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with Trapeze policy and Revenue Recognition under IFRS 15.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with external and internal clients and management through clear, concise, timely communication and support.
• Ensure invoices and any support documents are provided to the client in a timely manner, by email or uploading through various e-billing sites as per the client’s processes
• Financial variance analysis comparing forecasted revenue to actual revenue and supporting the business’ quarterly forecasting process
• Ensure that contracts are set up timely and accurately and proactively advising management when issues or delays arise.
• Follow up with customers as needed in receiving executed purchase orders to secure funding for annual maintenance.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices to manage DSO targets.
• Prepare various reports and analysis related to billing, receivables, revenue, attrition.
• Calculate and transfer revenue that is shared within Trapeze and Modaxo/Volaris, in accordance with executed Teaming Agreements as well as receive Revenue Transfers
• Month end/quarter end close activities, including but not limited to post and reconcile Revenue, Deferred Maintenance Revenue and Deferred Warranty Revenue monthly

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required for this role
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment while maintaining a high attention to detail ensuring accurate results
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with different individuals across the organization and a motivated self starter with a strong work ethic and keen interest to learn
• At least 2 years of experience within a finance/accounting role at a publicly traded company; software preferred
• Experience managing high volumes of data in a repository such as Power Bi is an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance, CPA preferred
• Ability to analyze situations and solve problems independently with minimal supervision
