Web Designer

We are looking for a strategic and creative-minded Web Designer to help us deliver amazing user experiences across all mediums. Creating concepts, design flows, features and user interfaces, you will be the architect behind the work, leading to well-researched, thoughtful and easy-to-follow user experiences.

Qualified candidates are experts in their craft who use research-backed UX to establish a strong foundation for projects and help tell compelling stories. You approach responsive web design with a problem-solving mindset, aligning user needs and client business goals. You have a proven ability to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, transforming them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs. Delighting the user drives you to deliver your best work.

Candidates should be able to take direction from project managers and incorporate feedback effectively, maintaining high levels of communication with our team.

THE POSITION

You will be:

• Creating developer notes and working collaboratively from ideation to hand-off to ensure success during development.
• Assisting with information architectures, sitemaps, user flows and overall content planning.
• Collaborating with the creative and marketing teams to ensure all work is on brand.
• Designing modern, polished and responsive experiences for all screen sizes and devices.
• Providing and promoting expert guidance on UX and UI.
• Conceptualizing and refining website design solutions that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks.

Your skills and experience include:

• A strong understanding of how websites are created including CSS, web typography, and responsiveness.
• Experience creating animation-driven designs and motion graphics
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates your experience delivering web solutions and an ability to explain what makes them successful.
• 4+ years of experience creating responsive UX and UI designs.
• Experience designing custom WordPress websites for both English and French.
• Experience collaborating with developers to deliver custom experiences on budget.
• A passion for solving problems creatively and effectively while staying up to date with the latest trends, techniques and technologies.
• Expert level skillset with Figma.
