The Opportunity:

The Warehouse Supervisor will report to a Plant Manage and oversee warehouse and logistics operations and processes including receiving and stowing, picking, and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. This role optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implements strong safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

· Focuses on coordinating products and staff within the warehouse

· Develop and supervises drivers and shipping & receiving area

· Assigning work schedules with tasks and preparing a list of outgoing shipments

· Provide performance management counselling and/or progressive discipline in a timely fashion

· Issues lists of incoming items and shipments and handing them over to receiving

· Ensures well-coordinated reception of all materials, items, and products, and making sure they are sorted, labelled, and stored per standards and policies

· Ensuring delivery deadlines and quality objectives are met

· Laisse with clients, suppliers, transport companies

· Communicates clear expectations for work outcomes to team members

· Schedules hiring temporary staff members to meet goals or handle seasonal workloads

· Manages employee performance to ensure that they are meeting standards and completing tasks in a timely manner

· Escalates concerns about an employee’s performance to the plant manager if performance issues can

· Responsible for supporting safe, respectful, and productive work environment

· Ensures that Safety, Production and Accuracy standards are met and provides

Ideal Qualifications and Competencies:

· 5+ years of experience supervising in a Warehouse, 3PL and/or manufacturing

· Bachelor Degree or Diploma in relevant field

· Experience in MS Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Experienced in administration

· Previous management experience is an asset

· Ability to prioritize in fast-paced environment

· Strong communication skills: ability to communicate information clearly

· Ability to work collaboratively as a team

· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

· Results oriented with a problem-solving attitude

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

· Excellent IT and technical skills, especially with spreadsheets and data management

· Decisiveness, initiative, attention to detail, and high accuracy

· Analytical ability as well as organizing and planning skills to effectively manage the flow of stock

· People management skills, including the ability to explain ideas, delegate work, motivate, and lead and inspire members of the team
