What You Will Do

• Optimally drive quality, continuous improvement, and the advancement of our employees technical capabilities.
• Communicate safety requirements to managers and employees to have consistent and standardized implementation within the area of responsibility.
• Ensure that standardized practices, procedures, training delivery and competency assessment methodologies are used to maintain a proficient workforce.
• Collaborate with Operations to assess and plan for delivery of long range training needs and training budgets
• Ensure facilities implement work in compliance with prudent wind, solar, and storage industry practices. Provide guidance and mentorship to staff on how technicians can be trained to complete work safely and efficiently under the program.
• Manage the development of the Technician Training Program systems and training processes (skills assessments, identifying curriculum requirements, job skills gap analysis and training delivery).

Who You Are

• High-Voltage electrical systems experience preferred. Preferably in the renewables sector, including experience with Turbine OEMs or power self-perform operators
• You possess a valid Journeyperson Electrician or Power System Electrician ticket. Equivalent mix of education and experience in a related field would be considered.
• You have knowledge of relevant industry standards such as NFPA-70E, CSA Z462 and other relevant qualification programs
• Experience teaching in a professional setting (ex. technical College) preferred & Knowledge of Operating policies procedures, emergency response and operating processes.
• 4-6 years Training experience is highly desired. 3 years’ experience working on wind farms, solar farms, or battery storage preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time within North America
