Technical Aide Jobs

Position Overview

The CT technical aide position supports the operation of the Diagnostic Imaging department by assisting the technologists and nurses in organizing the flow of patients and information through the department . The technical aide is responsible for entering all inpatient, emergency and emergency outpatient DI requests into the Cerner Enterprise Scheduling Module in accordance with the information required for the MOHLTC Wait Time Information System.

Education

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.

Experience

• Demonstrated flexibility in dealing with competing demands and tasks in an efficient manner.
• Experience with Cerner Radnet preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum one year previous experience working in a Diagnostic Imaging Department.

• PACS experience required.
• Ability to work as a member of a team using excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent customer services skills.
• Promote and ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
• Typing – minimum 25 wpm.

• Must be self-directed and show initiative.
• Understand universal precautions (infection control).
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to identify situations requiring intervention from health care staff.
• Ability to read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
