Aafiyat Medical Recruitment (AMR) is a boutique staffing agency specializing in healthcare recruitment.

We are looking for Medical Doctors for several clients (private clinics) in Welland, Keswick, Bolton, and Burlington in Ontario.

Role Duties:

• Educating, advising, and empowering patients on primary and secondary preventive health care
• Providing emergency care
• Providing counseling and support to patients on a wide range of health & lifestyle issues
• Performing patient advocacy role
• Evaluating the patient’s health, making diagnoses on clinical conditions, prescribing, and administering medications and treatments, and following up care with internal/external specialists
• Maintaining complete, timely, and legible medical records
• Vaccinating patients to prevent and treat diseases
• Providing screening and primary care health services for the clinic’s patients
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all federal & provincial health information privacy laws
• Providing clinical guidance and recommendations based on the patient’s history and physical examination
• Additional duties may be assigned as per Company’s operational needs

Requirements to be Successful in This Role:

• Has malpractice protection through a commercial insurance program or membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association or equivalent
• Adequate MD training in the areas of family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine; any work experience is an asset
• Billing support is available at an additional fee
• Ability to speak other languages is an asset
• Experience in preventive care and wellness is an asset
• Physicians who recently completed their residency will be considered
• Ability to see patients independently and without supervision
• CCFP designation, CCFP (EM) designation, or FRCPC designation
• History of strong clinical performance
• Strong knowledge of Ontario legislation applicable to healthcare and/or mental healthcare
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, outside healthcare facilities, agencies, and service providers
• An active OHIP billing number
• Doctors with foreign experience & appropriate licensing will be considered
• Timely involvement with the team (e.g. attending weekly team calls, etc.)
• Strong crisis management and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to assess issues to identify causes, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations in a calm and timely manner
• Member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and holds a valid certificate of registration issued by the College (or the equivalent in another jurisdiction)
