Team Lead, Through Hole Line

Blackline Safety is seeking a Team Lead to join the PCBA Production team. The position is full-time and is based at our Company’s head office in Ramsay, Calgary. We are growing rapidly, and this is role requires a motivated and talented individual who wants to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Production Manager – The Team Lead is responsible for the products manufactured on the Through hole Assembly line. This position takes a lead role in providing guidance to Through hole assemblies and process improvement, best-practice set up, quality assurance, along with ensuring standard manual assemblies process at PCBA have been adhered to and acting as a point of escalation for quality concerns.
Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in developing standard operating procedures
• Escalate quality or concern and stop production if required
• Scheduled and delegate staff assignments, workload
• Monitor hourly and daily productivity to meet company’s targets
• Assemble product at PCBA level
• Assume partial Process support role with the absence of Process Support engineering
• Responsible to train new operator
• Perform Daily production chart updates
• Attend meetings for major issues / concerns
• Initiate problem-solving sessions to identify, resolve issues affecting line efficiency and quality
• Perform daily auditing, ensuring standard operating procedures were followed

Qualifications:

• Ability and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Good leadership skill
• Experience in Through hole soldering and assembly with supervisory experience will be preferred
• Good in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to read and understand Bills of Material (BOM) and manufacturing process instruction
• Good written and spoken English
• Knowledge of IPC-610 Quality of workmanship
• Knowledge of inventory and ERP systems
• Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to work towards achieving high levels of production and quality
• Mechanically oriented and possess above average attention to detail
