The job:


The Talent Operations Specialist is responsible for the ongoing progressive improvement of talent acquisition and management processes and practices adopted throughout the organization. This role would support a variety of Talent related projects across North America, facilitating development in areas relating to recruitment and WDR Strategic Management in partnership with relevant departmental stakeholders throughout the organization.


Supporting the build of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management within the organization, the role will work closely with the Director of Talent Management to support operational success of all existing and future talent practices.


A day in the life of a Talent Operations Specialist:


  • Central point of contact for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Workday Recruitment
  • Support the recruiting team by assisting with delivering on career events, career fairs, campus and community networking
  • Backup support to our Talent Administrator by having knowledge of invoicing
  • Support with yearly Talent Audit reviews, which includes providing audit with samples they have requested
  • Work with HCM & Workday team to continue building on Workday Recruitment Module, with semi-annual releases from Workday
  • Manage ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed, Background Check, and other operational relationships that integrate with ATS
  • Support in understanding reporting needs for Talent, then consulting with appropriate stakeholders to create new reports
  • Lead and contribute to project teams through the planning, design, operational optimization, change management and communication of scalable recruitment programs
  • Review and build relationships with our vendors


What is required:


  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and projects under pressure and within respective deadlines
  • Must be willing/able to travel between Canada & US
  • Highly adaptable with demonstrated experience building relationships across all levels of an organization and collaborating with teams across departments, locations and with a variety of personalities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with external and internal teams
  • Strong computer literacy, including working skills of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality
  • Must be willing to travel to different sites, license required
  • 2-3+ years’ experience in Full-Cycle Recruitment, including experience in leading, building and refining a Talent Acquisition practice
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle and hiring processes and how to best optimize for efficiency and quality for improved internal and external stakeholder experience
  • University Degree/College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively, with the capability to present findings to leadership teams
  • Strong moral and ethical judgement in decision making, respecting people first with political and cultural sensitivity
