Position: Supply Chain Analyst– Inventory Planner
Electrical Mechanical Supplies Retail Distribution Centre 3PL Construction
Salary: $55,000- $65,000 base
Full time permanent; 5-days on site
Location: Brampton – Mississauga, ON
Our client is one of the largest Distributors / Suppliers / Retailers for Electrical, Mechanical Parts Supplies, building equipment with 70-80,000 active SKUs, and have a job open for Supply Chain Analyst / Inventory Planner to be based out of their Mississauga- Brampton, ON location. This role is responsible for forecasting, demand planning, analyzing demand with seasonality, variances, deviations and ensuring enough safety stock in this automated Inventory system environment. Advanced Excel is a MUST. This is work from office 5-days a week.
Supply Chain Analyst / Inventory Planner will analyze the historical data, existing vendor lead times, seasonality and other deviations to ensure optimal inventory levels for all categories within the electrical mechanical home hardware parts supplies. You will build safety stock, analyze fast-moving SKUs, and build optimal quantities for each branch. You will work with warehouse staff for inventory physical counts, reconcile physical inventory. You will reduce obsolescence, over stock, shortages, FIFO and JIT.
Supply Chain Analyst / Inventory Planner will have 3-4 years’ experience of demand planning forecasting, historical data analysis at different branch levels POS data, in retail distribution construction type industry, sound experience of working with deviations like seasonality and lead times at multiple sites. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred; excellent analytical skills, advanced Excel skills and ability to work in a hands-on environment. SCMP, APICS, Diploma in Supply Chain, Inventory and similar certifications courses are highly preferred. Excellent English communication skills and an ability to work on-site 5 days a week.
