Our customer base includes retail supermarket chains, independent boutiques, and food service chains and independents. Our distribution network is made up of specialty cheese and food distributors across Canada. Some of the brands we represent in the cheese market today are Celebrity Goat Cheeses, Beemster, Zerto, Snowdonia, Collier’s and Sartori.

About the Position:

The Demand Planner works in our company’s supply chain to utilize analytical, marketing, and sales data to estimate future product demands. They develop an effective forecast model by paying attention to industry trends and demand patterns. They monitor and report essential changes to sales forecasts, business strategies, and budgets. They support company management with risk assessment and activities to help mitigate the risk and propose and implement solutions that accurately improve demand forecasts.

The Demand Planner will conduct market activity reviews looking for their promotional effectiveness. They manage and prioritize steps for execution, inventory, or shipments based on customer specifications. They create and generate statistical forecasts using historical data, seasonality, and variability metrics and coordinate with logistics to deliver launch products.

What are the responsibilities of the Demand Planner jobs?

·Review budget, performance, and client reporting of total business.

·Monitor forecast and safety stock levels and adjust accordingly.

·Review item forecasts for new, existing, and discontinued products.

·Prioritize shipments based on supply chain deficits, product demand and sales forecasts.

·Evaluate the demand gen budget across all channels and systems.

·Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.

·Evaluate and align with customers that contribute to demand creation to ensure accurate forecasting.

·Place orders on hold as required, monitor on hold product.

·Monitor and report on campaign performance overall funnel conversion metrics.

·Able to analyze data and construct reports to evaluate campaign success.

·Update order quantities, delivery dates and cost in compliance with proper authorizations.

·Review short, coded product/ analyze inventory manage meeting with the sales team to discuss rationale behind short codes and a plan of action to move inventory.

·Provide actionable data analysis to support business cases for demand plans using data-driven methods.

·Work with cross functional teams to support sales and finance team in revenue attainment.

·Understand and identify fill rate penalties.

·Serve as a mentor for other individual contributors on the team.
