SALARY RANGE:$75,129 to $97,479
Reporting to the Manager of Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Services, the Supervisor of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is responsible for managing daily operations of the service desk, identity management systems, cloud collaboration platforms, and cloud hosting environments, that serve the administrative and classroom needs of the Board.Though collaboration and exemplary customer service, they will assist with daily operational management activities, including training, guidance, supervision, coordinating the workload and assignment of information technology staff and contractual service providers.They will ensure that ICT functions are conducted efficiently, in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and in accordance with our mission, policies and Catholic values. They will provide advice and recommendations and assist Management with technology related matters.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the day-to-day operations within the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system (escalation, workflow, and process execution);
- Provide advanced Service Desk technical support;
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for all types of technical inquiries, service requests, and issues involving computers, network, smartphones/tablets, AV systems, enterprise applications/systems;
- Contribute to team innovation through ideas for process improvement and efficiency;
- Ensure exemplary customer service and solid customer relationships through the accurate and timely monitoring and alerting of key services, security, and privacy impacting situations; includes appropriate escalation management;
- Collaborate and liaise with Ontario K-12 sector partners, with a focus on co-developing, implementing, and supporting sector best practices;
- Lead the implementation of the Service Centre Tracking System including documenting all problems and related solutions;
- Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines, legislation, collective agreements, negotiated settlements, and vendor contracts;
- Supervise and facilitate professional learning and training opportunities for staff in the use of the ICT systems and Online Collaboration Platforms; and
- Identify efficiencies to streamline ICT operations, including system modifications and policy, procedure, and process improvements and internal controls;
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Information & CommunicationsTechnology (ICT) Services or designate.
- Oversee Online Collaboration Platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.) configuration including, controls, system policies, content/data management and system upgrades and data integrations with third party information;
- Lead and actively participate in the building, implementation, and support of ICT operational, systems, applications, infrastructure, and service processes;
- Plan, coordinate and supervise identity management systems (MS AD, M365, Azure, SSO and MFA), controlling and monitoring secure user access, and ensuring accurate and timely processes by analyzing and auditing appropriate data and logs, investigating discrepancies, and taking appropriate corrective action;
- Oversee and participate in the development, implementation, and/or preparation of knowledge base articles and/or documentation for Service Desk use; make recommendations for improvements;
- Assist the Manager of ICT in daily operational activity management, including training, guidance, supervision, coordinating the workload and assignment of all information technology staff and contractual service providers;
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Minimum 3-year post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer or Information Technology, or a related field;
- Core technical certification should include:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively increasing experience diagnosing and solving computer-related problems in a large, diverse computing environment;
- Experience in a supervisory role with a proven record of achievement and success (preferred);
ITIL v3/4 Foundations;
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate;
Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals;
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate;
- Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and interact with people in a pleasant, professional, responsible, and reassuring manner;
- Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft identity services (Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, MFA, etc.);
- Ability to organize time effectively to perform the duties of the position and exceptional attention to detail;
- Proven leadership skills and ability to influence and inspire people, resolve conflicts, and create energy and enthusiasm for progressive change;
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills; and
- Proficient hands-on experience in working with Workstations, Servers, Firewalls, Switches, Virtual Infrastructure, Cloud Services, and AV equipment;
- Experience deploying and supporting a Microsoft Azure Workspace, Host pools, virtual servers/computers, backup, networking, and firewalls;
- Ability to maintain successful working relationships with interdisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes;
- Strong and proven knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft 365 implementation and support;
- A valid driver’s license as travel may be required.
- A good ability to summarize complex technical situations to the team, management, and clients;
