Summary

The Senior Analyst reports directly to the GTA Director of Research and plays a crucial role in driving the development of local research output and thought leadership. This position includes gathering and analyzing local market data to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the market. The insightful analysis conducted by the Senior Analyst plays a vital role in crafting research deliverables that are seamlessly integrated into pitch and proposal materials. The Senior Analyst assumes responsibility for proactively and routinely maintaining Cushman & Wakefield's proprietary database. Additionally, the Senior Analyst takes proactive measures to regularly maintain Cushman & Wakefield's proprietary database. Furthermore, the position serves as a diligent quality control auditor, ensuring the utmost accuracy of reports, data, and adherence to corporate standards.

Responsibilities

• Providing support for local quarterly data compilation, statistical production, and addressing client inquiries and forecasts.
• Contributing to market thought leadership initiatives.
• Coordinating and fulfilling all research requests efficiently.
• Assisting in specialized projects aimed at improving systems, enhancing information flow, and automating existing processes.
• Gathering crucial transaction information from brokers and asset managers, analyzing it, and communicating observations regarding evolving market conditions.
• Attending, actively participating in, and presenting market information and quarterly updates at branch sales meetings, client pitches, and presentations.
• Offering recommendations for the design and development of new products and services.
• Supplying research information for utilization by Managing Principals and Brokers during media interviews.
• Collaborating with the marketing team to publicize market trends and analysis on social media platforms and the company website.
• Conducting higher-level, comprehensive analysis and producing written reports that surpass the scope of work typically performed by Analysts.
• Sharing best practices within and across markets or offices to foster knowledge exchange and growth.

Qualifications

• Possesses intellectual curiosity and a commitment to investing time and energy in commercial real estate (CRE) knowledge.
• Skilled in efficiently and accurately operating databases, including data input and auditing.
• Strong writing skills, capable of effectively communicating and analyzing market conditions to support business development for internal and external clients.
• Experience in data entry/data management and time series analysis/forecasting.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in building connections and fostering relationships.
• Professional acumen, understanding of commercial real estate
• Possesses extensive knowledge of the complexities and regulations within the CRE industry, with the ability to capture, analyze, and communicate key market metrics and indicators.
• Takes accountability and ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
• 3+ years of experience in real estate industry or research-related field
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and determination to go above and beyond expectations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas effectively.
• Experience in developing forward-looking insights.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, displaying sound judgment in decision-making.
• A team player who collaborates well with others.
• BA/BS required.
• Resourceful and proactive in problem-solving, capable of resolving issues with minimal direction.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Exhibits leadership qualities, capable of managing, training, and mentoring entry-level research resources.
• Adaptable to change and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent planning, organizing, and prioritization abilities.
