Job Description

We are looking for a talented account planner to join our growing Kia team. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and/or consulting environment. Working closely with our Sr. Director of Strategic Planning, this person needs to be a naturally curious self-starter with strong insight-driven strategic thinking and project management skills.


What you’ll be doing.

  • Work alongside our Media and Data & Analytics team to analyze brand performance and recommend optimizations.
  • Provide ongoing cultural and market trends, trends, and motivations in consumer behavior which inform and impact channel strategies.
  • Develop campaign customer journey maps that inform where, when, and how we bring creative ideas to life — including tactical placement and rotation plans for creative.
  • Deep understanding of our client’s business and research tools, contributing to what makes a brand culturally relevant and how it can impact longer-term business planning initiatives.
  • Support or lead the go-to-market strategy such as targeting, channel mix, platform media opportunities, KPI planning, ongoing performance measurement and detailed post-reports.
  • Formulate solutions to our client’s marketing challenges to develop actionable insights deliver inspiring creative briefs.
  • Support brand health tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Be a strong communicator with the ability to distill deep data into succinct and intelligent strategies that deliver strong creative output.
  • Support coordination of external research vendors.
  • A trusted partner and advisor, liasing with a large cross-functional team that consists of media, creative and account management across Brand, Retail, CX, Social, After Sales, XM and Partnerships.
  • Conduct marketplace research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support the planning stages of our campaign process in the discovery phase. Mining data to unlock insights. Locate, read, and distill research pieces to brand level thinking, informed points of views, and compelling strategic ideas.


What we’d like to see:

  • Proficient in Keynote, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Audience-first mindset, with excellent collaboration skills to identify opportunities and generate persuasive strategies.
  • Experience in a strategic capacity across integrated marketing communications: Brand strategy, Retail/Point-of-sale, Media/Social Media, Brand Experiences, and CRM, etc.
  • Innovative and analytical thinker comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complexity.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively engage a variety of stakeholders across levels and functions.
  • Ability to learn and work with new platforms such as web-based dashboards and statistical modeling.
  • A candidate who has led strategic initiatives that have driven growth.
