Job title: Store Manager


Reports to: Country Manager


Key Responsibilities:


SALES & STORE OPERATIONS


Sales Analysis:


  • Analyze and review all store sales reports and actions to maximize sales opportunities


Inventory Management:


  • Maintain accurate store inventory including movements, processing damages, mismates, and investigating negative on hands
  • Prepare for and conduct store inventory procedures
  • Communicate all product needs to District Managers
  • Follow, understand and execute all inventory handling procedures in a timely manner, including consolidations, recalls, markdowns and shipment receiving;


Loss Prevention & Security:


  • Follow all operating and cash management policies & procedures to protect store assets and minimize loss, including proper administration


Maintain Health & Safety Standards:


  • Ensure all store staff follow ladder safety policy
  • Follow all health & safety standards to maintain a safe work environment for all staff and customers including submitting incident reports as required


Store Set-up & Organization:


  • Keep all areas of the store organized, including stockrooms, POP storage, bathrooms, and store administration
  • Set up all areas of the store such as stockrooms, cash desks, communication boards and operational binders to standard


Communication:


  • Effective e-mail management to share relevant corporate and store information with store teams
  • Facilitate management and store meetings to align the team on sales and operational objectives and achieve budgets
  • Maintain all staff communication boards with current and up-to-date information


PEOPLE MANAGEMENT


  • On-boarding: positively integrate new and promoted employees within the team and promote accelerated productivity
  • Staff Planning: ongoing evaluation of staff to determine needs, for day-to-day operations
  • Fun Atmosphere – foster a fun and motivating work environment by building positive relationships and maintaining open communication channels with the team and Head Office
  • Scheduling: optimize store schedules to achieve budget and SPH goals; live management of the schedule to react to business trends and manage payroll costs
  • Evaluating: conduct daily/weekly ongoing evaluation using the Performance Tools to share informal and formal feedback for continuous improved performance
  • Training: provide ongoing formal and informal training on GEOX Service Model, technologies, patents and new company initiatives to foster exceptional performance
  • Performance Management: ability to diagnose, develop and review the performance of the staff; conduct annual performance reviews


Customer Experience


Service Model Ambassador:


  • Resolve customer service challenges in a positive and professional manner for a win/win outcome
  • Ensure every team member delivers the GEOX Service Model with every customer interaction in a friendly, helpful and sincere way that results in an exceptional customer experience
  • Leverage all customer services to build further loyalty by capturing every customer e-mail to build Benefeet database and offering GEOX@Home where necessary
  • Lead by example


Visual Merchandising Ambassador:


  • Uphold physical store maintenance standards in order to create a functional, safe, clean and brand propelling store environment
  • Ensure store visual standards are adapted to react to the business results while preserving brand integrity
  • Uphold brand presentation by maintaining visual standards at all times
  • Ensure all corporate visual directives are read, understood and applied by all staff


Brand Ambassador:


  • Passionate and knowledgeable of all GEOX technologies, products and patents
  • Knowledgeable in communicating all aspects of product including store collections, best sellers and seasonal product trends
  • Create solid partnerships with the mall, local community and corporate partners to identify business opportunities that results in an increase in store traffic and sales
  • Facilitate all staff learning to confidently and passionately interact with every customer


Position Requirements:


Minimum 5 years’ experience in the retail industry. Management experience in a results


focused and customer centric retail environment (preferably fashion apparel/footwear)


Education:


University/College Degree or commensurate retail experience


Required Skills:


  • Communication skills - ability to clearly communicate & articulate key ideas and concepts with people at all levels of the business
  • Solid people management & interpersonal skills – proven ability to build positive relationships to coach staff with increasing sales performances and furthering retail career development
  • Business acumen - understand key retail performance metrics, and can connect results to business decisions and personal work tasks
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills: can extract and interpret information to justify business decisions
  • Strong computer and system skills – proficiency in Microsoft Excel and POS system
  • Organizational skills – can manage multiple tasks to prioritize and meet objectives and critical deadlines; able to plan and execute
