Sr Manager, Distribution & Optimization

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Sr Manager, Distribution & Optimization on a permanent basis on our Supply Chain Operations team.

This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Western Canada.

We are looking for a results driven, innovative individual to lead the implementation of optimization initiatives of the Supply Chain Distribution.  If you have an optimization improvement mindset, this may be the opportunity for you!

What you’ll do:

• Develop team members through coaching, feedback, exposure and stretch assignments.
• Oversee the development and execution of direct report budgets.
• Annual travel approximately 20-30%
• Ensure initiatives remain on schedule.
• Ensure all relevant actions follow the appropriate approval process and documentation is archived appropriately.
• Elevate a culture of continuous improvement with Supply Chain Distribution.
• Provide strategic direction regarding process improvement and simplification opportunities that align to the strategic objectives of the business unit.

Who you’ll work with:

You will work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure initiatives milestone are achieved.  You will lead and oversee the work performed of 4 direct reports and report to the Director, Supply Chain Distribution Centres.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:

• Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Have 8 plus years of relevant progressively responsible leadership experience within Distribution Centre and/or Transportation Operations.
• You are experienced in the use of continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
