Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for solidifying and growing the Maximus, MaxAg and Zaxe businesses within Ingersoll Rand (IR) in the Americas by commercializing products and continuing profitable growth of the core legacy. This critical leadership role will build a strategic business vision and lead engaged teams in the design, manufacturing, marketing, and selling of products globally. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of full P&L responsibility ideally in the Agritech industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing scalable and efficient strategies to deliver exponential growth, profitability, and company value
• Establishing global sales channels through existing and new customers; as well as partner networks
• Experience and/or comfort building relationships and leading all functions of a business team – sales, marketing, product management, operations, EHS and engineering
• Successful integration of on-going acquisitions and continuing to look for new inorganic bolt-on targets
• Building a product roadmap and engineering plans to round-out the portfolio in pursuit of new markets, applications, and segments
• Providing expert guidance to all departments, including operations, sales and production
• Responsible for the performance of financial P&L objectives
• Reporting updates to the PST and IR leadership team regarding progress on strategic goals and KPIs
• Effectively leading day-to-day operations excellence including manufacturing, engineering, product management, marketing, and sales and in coordination with other, complementary Precision and Science Technologies platforms within Ingersoll Rand
• Setting and implementing the vision for the business team and defining the organic and inorganic strategy

Qualification

• Travel required
• 10+ years of general management, sales, or operational leadership experience in an established industrial manufacturer; preferably with P&L responsibilities in the Agritech Industry
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must have the ability to speak, write and read at advanced level in both French and English.
• Proven track record of building new products and high performing teams from the ground up
• Proven excellent communication skills – The ability to develop and deliver complex technical subjects in simple, understandable, and clear language. Strong influencing and listening skills with the ability to exchange information in multi modes to meet the needs of different audiences at all levels within the organization
• Experience in managing multiple corporate stakeholders
