The Opportunity:

Forging our community across our MEGA brand! You will act as the voice of our brand across our community providing key information leading up to flagship launches as well as providing community listening updates to the brand team based on your interactions with our community. In addition, you will be responsible for our social channel management operations. This position will partner with the Sr Manager, to build and deliver on strategic vision of this department and maximizing efficiencies around Mattel’s publishing efforts.

The ideal candidate will have both an analytical and creative mindset; Someone who can juggle multiple responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail. You will work closely with different cross-functional teams internal and external on goals and areas of focus. Finally, you will represent your team’s efforts in cross-functional meetings: Building and delivering data-backed presentations that highlight your team’s achievements, barriers, and next steps for delivering excellence in your areas of responsibility.


What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Work alongside our social and marketing teams to promote product launches.
  • Be a spokesperson for our brand.
  • Build out our social channels and increase engagement.
  • Report back on community sentiment and engagement.
  • Engage and chat directly with our community through our different social platforms.


Publishing Operations

  • In partnership with the Creative team, execute against an asset delivery workflow.
  • Brief creatives teams for content.
  • Other channel management responsibilities as the business continues to evolve.
  • Content calendar planning.
  • Connect and partner with our cross-functional teams for cross channel posts.
  • Perform general channel management, including publishing assets, videos and creating metadata aligned with channel strategy and platform best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy team to execute against a portfolio of content calendars.
  • Regularly update channel and content curations.


Performance Analysis/Reporting

  • Assist the Sr. Manager in providing regular channel and content performance updates to cross functional teams.
  • Document and interrogate performance data of uploads in real-time against benchmarks.
  • Execute and report on test & learn initiatives developed in collaboration with the strategy team.

Live Optimizations

  • Apply adjustments to content based on results of real-time performance data.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills to be able to plan and approve community posts with legal and marketing teams.
  • Experience in the consumer internet/media industries, and content publishing landscape.
  • Moderate technical knowledge, being comfortable exporting large quantities of post data and filtering down into community sentiment.
  • BA/BS preferred.
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
  • Strong time management, planning, and project execution skills.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in content publishing (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube)
  • Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics (including CID) experience required.
  • An articulate individual with a good command of written and spoken English and French.
  • Ability to analyze data and extract insights to create recommendations.
