Job Title:Social Media Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Marketing Director
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $18 - $22/hr
Organization Overview:
Compudopt is a national non-profit organization that aims to provide technology access and
education to under-resourced youth and their communities. Compudopt is seeking an
innovative Social Media Coordinator to help us build brand awareness and elevate our online
presence. As a member of the digital marketing team, you will assist the Marketing Director and
The Social Media Coordinator must act with integrity, be committed to achieving
organizational goals, take responsibility for mission achievement, demonstrate accountability
by starting with yes, and demonstrate the ability to inspire, grow and motivate others.
Major Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage the social media workflow of all Compudopt locations and ensure deadlines are
met.
- Effectively plan and prioritize a high volume of requests and follow through in a timely
manner.
- Develop best practices with team members to continually improve the quality,
effectiveness, and efficiency of our processes.
- Monitor post replies (keep your finger on the pulse of these communications)
- Conduct quality control: review and edit all preliminary and final posts.
- Assist in identifying, tracking, and reporting on KPIs.
- Research and suggest original content based on what’s trending.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience and knowledge in the non-profit space preferred
- Excellent communication and ability to articulate ideas and build relationships
- Demonstrated ability and desire to work and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and time management skills
- Confident, high energy, self-motivated and a true team player
