Role Summary
As a ServiceNow Business Analyst, your role will be to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring successful implementation and optimization of ServiceNow solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyze processes, and translate them into actionable deliverables. Preferred candidates should have existing knowledge of ServiceNow and a good understanding of writing business test cases and having used any automated test frameworks.
Responsibilities
  • Functional Design and Configuration: Translate business requirements into functional specifications and configuration instructions for the ServiceNow development team. Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of business needs.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate ServiceNow configurations and customizations. Ensure that business requirements are met, and the system functions as expected. Utilize testing frameworks to write comprehensive business test cases.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, functionality, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure effective communication, alignment of priorities, and successful project delivery. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements and resolve issues.
  • Process Mapping and Documentation: Document current and future-state processes using industry-standard methodologies. Identify process improvements and collaborate with stakeholders to design streamlined and efficient workflows within ServiceNow.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize their requirements for ServiceNow implementations or enhancements. Analyze existing processes, identify pain points, and propose solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Change Management: Support change management activities related to ServiceNow implementations or enhancements. Collaborate with stakeholders to define change management strategies, communicate changes, and manage user expectations.
  • User Training and Support: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure successful adoption of ServiceNow solutions. Provide ongoing support and address user inquiries or issues related to ServiceNow functionality and usage.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL principles is desirable.
  • Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as a Business Analyst, preferably with experience in ServiceNow projects.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and modules.
  • Experience writing business test cases using testing frameworks.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into clear and concise requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California Based Applicants:$130,000 - $150,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
