Position : Sr. Business Analyst
Duration: Contract
Location: Downtown Vancouver, BC
Responsibilities include:
·Analyzing and documenting systems requirements by identifying underlying needs
·Using a variety of requirements-gathering techniques, and sharing and explaining them to all stakeholders, including the development team
·Monitoring the development of requirements and verifying their functionality
·Developing end-user documentation and looking for continuous improvements to existing business procedures
·Providing user support during the development, maintenance, and operation of systems
·Coordinating user acceptance testing and post-deployment tests
·Proactively liaises between all stakeholders in providing timely project updates and clearly communicating planned system changes and issue resolutions
·Facilitating the development and maintenance of a bank of test plans and test cases
·Assisting Systems Analysts and the QA team to conduct comprehensive unit, integration and regression testing.
Your education and skills:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience;
•Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred ;
•Demonstrated experience in organizing and writing application related documentation and other critical business analysis skills;
•Demonstrated understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle and Agile, Scrum project management methodology.
•Demonstrated experience in business process re-engineering.
•Ability to analyze system/operational problems and recommend innovative solutions
•Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terminology.
•Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders with varied systems knowledge;
•Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills;
•Outstanding customer service skills;
•Experience writing test plans and coordinating testing efforts;
•Ability to work effectively independently and as a collaborative member of a team;
•Ability to organize and manage concurrent projects and activities, keeping team members and stakeholders informed of progress and significant issues;
•Demonstrated initiative and self-direction abilities;
- •CSM, CSPO, PMP, Agile Business Analyst certification or in progress is an asset.
